And Still Champion…

What a game last night. Total of five errors committed. One for comebacks, but not for quality. Amazingly, San Francisco Giants are still the Current Reigning World Series Champions!

And forever they will be the 2010 World Series Champions.

How soon they forget

Two collapses for wild card spots for two East Coast teams to one East and one Central team was exciting, but I think last year’s of the Padres vs. the Giants was the sweetest. What a difference a year makes.

All you can do…

is all you can do, but all you can do is enough – Art Williams (possibly others, too)

Giants vs. Snakes Magic Number: 16

If the Snakes play .500 baseball for the rest of the season, they give the Giants a chance to tie by them running the table.

I don’t want the feeling I had in 1998, at a windy, cold, overcast Candlestick turning in my postseason strip. I want warm sunshine sitting in Club Level 229.

Giants vs Snakes Magic Number: 18

Well, after a day when my Apple Option trading on my brokerage accounts cost me a bit (I could attempt to explain, but even my wife is confused), at least the Giants won and the Diamondbacks lost so the Giants’ magic number vs. them is down to 18. One scenario is the Snakes go 4-7 and the Giants run the table.

The Strips are Mine

Just paid up my Postseason Strips for CL229, Row E, Seats 1-4. Keeping winning Giants!

Giants’ Magic Number: 25

Finally, the Giants score runs and win, plus the Padres manage to hold on to a lead and Heath Bell gets a save. Jon Miller mentioned today that a fan came up to him and said the Giants’ Magic Number is 27 before today’s game. He commented that the fan was very optimistic. He did the math and the fan got the numbers correct, although it does mean the Snakes *must* losing a number of games for the Giants to win the NL West.

After today’s results, that number is down to 25. Maybe I will toss in the $25 for my postseason strips in CL 229. Would be nice to collect the 10 to 1 payoff on my $20 bet. After my last two losing trips to Reno, something tells me that planning to blow a bunch of it when I come back is a bad idea. (through proper money management, I usually come back ahead.)

Schierholtz Rooftop Walkoff Home Run

Arcade Roof Walkoff

A definite walkoff home run on the Arcade “roof”. Much better than Bengie’s Instant Replay Arcade Roof Kisser Home Run:

Bengie Arcade Kisser

I recall this one because I was setting in View Box seats next to the camera well. The lady camera operator did a great job, didn’t she… :)

New Owner CSLs for CL 229, Row E, Seats 1-4

I now own the Charter Seat Licenses for Club Level 229, Row E, Seats 1-4. Previous owner is holding the tickets for the rest of the season but I own the postseason rights. See you Season Ticket owners at the August 6th Breakfast and game (although not in these seats).

Are You Ready for Some Football?!

Bochy and Clear Paths

In the aftermath of the Cousin/Posey hit on Giants Baseball, we have Prince Fielder going for a block on Eli Whiteside. Lots of energy in the hit, but at least both were prepared this time. Posey was busy scrambling for the ball when Cousin hit him, thus he didn’t plant himself before Cousins hit him.
